These surplus .50 caliber ammo cans have 101 uses. Sure, you can store your ammo in them, but these surplus steel cans are great for protecting anything you want to keep dry and secure.
Use them as tool boxes, storage boxes, camera boxes, fishing kits, to keep your hunting ammo safe and dry, to make a faraday cage, or as part of your emergency preparations.
These particular surplus cans were used by the military to store a variety of ammo and other munitions; most of them have military codes and lettering on the side reflecting their original contents (they are empty now, of course). Most are a little dirty or dusty but should clean up nicely. There may be some spots of rust, mostly on the outside. Some cans have a patch of spraypaint or sharpie marker on them, but the interiors are in pretty goood shape and have rubber seals intact. The photos are a good representation of the inerior of the cans you will receive.
The cans are made out of heavy gauge steel and feature a flat folding carry handle on the lid. They nest together and are stackable. The rubber seals are in good shape. Your can will have similar markings but condition and dirt/rust may vary slightly, especially on the exterior. Cans measure: 11" x 7" x 5.5"
Due to the weight, we can only ship these to the continental U.S and only via UPS Ground. That means you MUST provide a street address during checkout -- we cannot ship these to P.O. Boxes.
Let's recap to avoid any confusion: This listing is for TWO empty ammo cans, commonly called "50 caliber ammo cans." These cans have been used by the U.S. military and are surplus; they are NOT NEW. They may have dirt, rust patches, spray paint blotches, and/or writing in sharpie marker on them. These images are a good representation of the cans you will receive, but as these are used, the condition of your cans may vary from lot to lot.
