These boots combine the best of both worlds – the support and durability of a desert combat boot with the lightweight and comfort of a high-end trail boot or expensive athletic shoe. They are an ideal tactical boot for serious operators or anyone who is serious about the comfort and performance of their footwear.

Altama -- a leading supplier of boots to the U.S. Military -- used the lightest, most advance materials available to make these boots comfortable and easy-wearing.

They started with a tactical lug outsole that is slip-resistant, oil and acid-resistant, and non marking. In addition to an arch support shield, the sole is designed with flex grooves for ease of movement. Inside, the foundation of the boot is a chassis that is closer to a running shoe than a combat boot, a triple-density EVA midsole, and an anatomically molded removable innersole with shock pads. This combinations cradles and cushions your foot during any physical activity.

The leather and air mesh upper is lined with a dual zone liner that wicks away moisture and is breathable, allowing perspiration to move away from your foot and through the boot to be expelled outside, making the great for hot climates. On the exterior of the upper, you can see the exoskeleton that gave these boots their name. This exoskeleton, along with the molded ankle stabilizer, provides excellent structural support for your foot and ankle on terrain from rocky outcroppings to the city street. The upper is finished off with a non-metallic eyelet lacing system.
